SPECIFICATIONS
THICKNESS
Leeway bumper plates are approximately 54mm thick for 15kg plate, which is about 3-4mm thinner than the normal, owing to the usage of 5% cast iron inside.
ALUMINIUM INSERTS
They have aluminium inserts rather than stainless steel inserts, and the insert is pressed. Aluminium wears out faster than stainless steel, but considering its price its OK!
BOUNCE
They have a durometer rating of 88 (which is used to determine the hardness of rubber).
When tossed from hip level, they have a dead bounce, and I am generally pleased with their bounce.
FINISHING
These bumper plates have a nice finish for price, however the other coloured bumper plates are far superior.
They have some discrepancies and marks, but they seem really appealing overall.
DURABILITY & WARRANTY
Leeway provides a 1-year warranty against manufacturing problems, but these bumper plates will likely outlast that. Thicker bumpers are less likely to shatter in a home gym scenario.
MY VERDICT
Overall, if you're searching for some low-cost bumper plates in India, these are excellent. The specs-to-price ratio is unequaled, and they cost nearly as much as cast iron weight plates.
