How many weight plates do I need?

Many individuals frequently purchase sets that are overly expensive.  Lets find the appropriate quantity of weight plate you need.

CHANGE PLATES

The lower weight plates becomes crucial for precise adjustments in the load on your barbell.  Many gyms offer 2 kg and 2.5 kg.  I suggest getting a complete set of change plates.

THE “STANDARD” SET

The set will come with these plates: – 2 x 25 kg. – 2 x 20 kg. – 2 x 15 kg. – 2 x 10 kg. – 4 x 5 kg. – 2 x 2.5 kg.

HOW MUCH DO YOU WANT?

If your current deadlift is at 100 kg and you aim to reach 150 kg You may end up acquiring slightly more than 160 kg, but it serves as an excellent initial goal.

IF YOUR MAX LIFT GOAL IS 135 KG START WITH: – 4 x 20 kg – 2 x 15 kg  – 2 x 10 kg – 2 x 5 kg bumper plates – 4 x 2 kg – 2 x 1 kg standard plates
